What do we believe?

We believe that ASU is one of the world’s premier universities, and that it can be made better by committing itself to and embodying:

• Academic freedom.
  Faculty and academics require academic freedom, within appropriate bounds, to expand our shared knowledge.

• Free speech on campus.
  Students deserve to have their voices heard on campus – so that they can better learn how to be citizens.

• Academic excellence.
  Students should be held to a high standard of excellence, rejecting mediocrity.

What do we do?

In order to influence administrators, lawmakers, & members of the Arizona Board of Regents, we:

• Host timely events.
  ASU AFS hosts in-person and virtual events with relevant guests to build a community of members.

• Maintain a monthly newsletter.
  ASU AFS publishes a monthly newsletter with organization updates, relevant news, and more.

• Cultivate relationships with decision-makers.
  ASU AFS meets with decision-makers at ABOR and ASU to represent student interests.

How we're funded.

ASU Alumni for Free Speech is funded through philanthropic giving. We will soon pursue 501(c)(3) nonprofit status with the Internal Revenue Service. If you're interested in donating, please contact us here: asualumniforfreespeech@gmail.com.
